[Update on 8 November: Our latest info suggests that it will be a few weeks at least (and possibly much longer) before the Viking Fish Bar is demolished, as it is still very much in operation, and the owner – who has been running the Fish Bar for 25 years – has apparently not yet received the Compulsory Purchase Orders. Watch this space!]
The old Viking Fish Bar and boarded-up houses located at the base of London Road in Bexhill, are believed to be under imminent threat of demolition as part of the preparations for building the Bexhill-Hastings Link Road (BHLR). See map here for location.

The Council’s own list of properties “affected” by the Road’s construction can be found here. They include the Fish Bar (#127 London Road), as well as numbers 129a, 129, 131, 133, 135, 137, 141, 143, 145, 147, 149, 151, 153, 155, 157, 159 and 165 London Road, almost all of which are listed as “Land and building required for Scheme”.
