Tree defenders in Sidley, Bexhill (17/12/12).

Update at 4.07pm: Tree-defenders have been in action in Bexhill again today where chainsaw-wielding contractors continued to fell trees. They attempted to enter the area but were ejected by security guards. Other sites have been monitored and do not appear to have been attacked yet.

Plan for Tuesday (18 December): Make your way to the disused railway line near Adam’s farm in Crowhurst as early as possible (the 6.43am train from Hastings arrives in Crowhurst at 6.55am). Map at bottom of this page. More info: 07926 423 033.

VERY BRIEF REPORT ON MONDAY’S (17 DECEMBER) ACTIVITIES

Tree-felling continued in Bexhill, with four activists occupying the trees in the morning / afternoon. All four were eventually removed from the trees and arrested. They have now all been released, the last one at 2am! Two people were outside Hastings police station to greet them, and we are now arranging court support for them where appropriate.
