“If preparatory works are delayed …”

In it’s December 2012 request for full approval (ie. the release of Central government money) East Sussex County Council notes:

The most significant risks to the above timetable are any delay that prevents preparatory works towards a main construction start in early 2013, currently these are identified as further delays to the statutory/funding processes, non-granting of licences for the translocation of species and potential protestor action. Due to the seasonality of the works, and in particular the necessary site clearance, if preparatory works are delayed and construction is not commenced in early 2013 this will add 12 months delay to the programme. (emphasis added)

At the moment they’ve got ‘start of main construction’ down as Feb 2013 (see below).
