‘Community consultation’: a box-ticking exercise for a project which will go ahead with or without the consent of local residents.  Nonetheless, another chance to make it clear that we don’t want the Link Road, and we don’t want the link road to the Link Road either.

Received from Rother Citizens’ Panel:
Community Open Afternoon on North-east Bexhill Developments (Business)

You are invited to a community open afternoon to find out more about Sea Change Sussex’s proposals for business expansion and job creation in north-east Bexhill.

3pm to 7pm, Thursday 11th April and 12 noon to 4pm Friday 12th April

Sidley Baptist Church, Claremont Road, Sidley, Bexhill-on-Sea, TN39 5BX

Just drop-in and you’ll be able to see information and talk to the team, particularly about:

·         The access road that would facilitate development of the site to the east of Sidley, Bexhill
·         Early ideas for a business park and the first premises on the site
A planning application for the access road will be submitted later this month, with an application for the business park and first premises to follow this summer.

If you can’t go to the Open Afternoon but are interested you can find information about the proposals in the news section of the Sea Change web site (http://www.seachangesussex.co.uk/) from Monday 15th April.

Please note this invitation was forwarded on behalf of Mr Tariq Khwaja, Director of TK Associates, communications and consultation agency for Sea Change Sussex.  If you live in the north-east Bexhill general area then you may have already received an invitation through the door.  This event has not been organised by Rother District Council and we refer any questions to TK Associates and Sea Change Sussex.
