A night walk through the valley…
Join us in Combe Haven on Friday June 28, for a night walk through the valley. It’s not a full moon (the moon will be waning) but hopefully the night will be clear. We may see or hear owls and bats, perhaps foxes and badgers. Who knows what else is out in Combe Haven at night?
Bring a torch
Do bring a torch, although if possible we’ll try to walk without artificial light in order to experience the night more fully. The ground may be uneven, and possibly muddy, so solid shoes are recommended. Everyone is responsible for their own safety.
Meet: Crowhurst station 9pm (train from Hastings arrives 9.02), or Crowhurst recreation ground at 9.20.
How far: How far we go depends on who’s there and how far people want to go – options include a 5 mile loop, or shorter out-and-back walks
How long: We would aim to be back in time to catch the 11.16pm train back to Hastings
Contact: If the weather is poor, please ring us to confirm that the walk is still on: 07565 967 250
Lifts: If you are going by car and are able to offer lifts, please contact us on the number above
