Join us on New Year’s Day in Combe Haven to dance with friends old and new, summonthe rain spirits to wash away the wickedness of the Bexhill-Hastings Link Road (BHLR), and slow down those who would destroy our beautiful valley.
- £113m of public money wasted on the BHLR, a ‘low value’ scheme that should never have been funded
- More roads = more traffic = more carbon emissions, contributing to the unfolding catastrophe of climate change.
- More pointless roads on the way eg. the Bexhill & Queensway Gateway Roads
Meet 12.30pm, Wednesday 1 January at Crowhurst Recreation Ground (trains are running normally to Crowhurst). We will then walk together to the route of the road for the dance. Bring costumes, masks, musical instruments, noise makers, and anything else to enhance the dance!
Please note: It is likely to be very wet and muddy, so waterproofs and wellies are essential. We’ll probably go to the pub afterwards to warm up!
