Folly of SeaChange projects highlighted during Hastings half marathon

March 23, 2015 by combehavendefenders

Combe Haven Defenders and friends were out on the morning of 22 March, the day of the Hastings half marathon.  Not to run it, but to take advantage of the opportunity of thousands of runners streaming past no fewer than three SeaChange sites on Queensway.

We stood with banners highlighting the destruction of green spaces and waste of public money that these projects – Enviro 21, North Queensway and the Queensway Gateway – represent.  The response from runners was overwhelmingly positive – people clapped, shouted out that they agreed, and gave us the thumbs up.  SeaChange and Hastings Council take note: the people don’t want your projects.
