North Bexhill Access Road : the route in pictures

July 16, 2015 by combehavendefenders

Last week, we walked the route of the proposed North Bexhill Access Road.  This 2.4km new road would, according to developer SeaChange, ‘provide access to extensive business development land’.  Does Bexhill need more ‘business development land’?  That’s not for us to question.

SeaChange held a ‘consultation’ on the new road in Bexhill last week.  They claim that ‘many people were strongly in favour of the proposed road’.  They didn’t tell us how many more were against it: our quick shuffle through their consultation forms seemed to suggest a ratio of about 1:4 for and against.

Here are some pictures of the land the road would go through.  The plan is to build the road, then infill the whole area up to Bexhill with business parks and housing.

At the end of our walk, we reached the point shown below.  Our bucolic idyll was suddenly shattered.  This is the future, according to SeaChange.
