Over the weekend of April 2/3, we’ll be holding two events in Hollington Valley, site of the proposed Queensway Gateway road. Please join us!

Operation Bluebell

Saturday 2 April, 2pm.  An act of civil disobedience to save some of Hollington Valley’s bluebells. Please bring a flowerpot and a trowel. Please note: the bluebells will be returned once the future of the nature reserve has been secured.

Drawn to Witness

Sunday 3 April, noon. Bring drawing materials to document the devastation that SeaChange Sussex has brought to our local wildlife site.

Both events: meet outside Emmaus at the end of Whitworth Road. Map.

Buses: On Saturday, you can get the 23 or 23A from Hastings town centre or central St Leonards to Sainsbury’s but will need to take the 26A to get back.  On Sunday, you’ll need to get the 26 to Harrow Lane (by Baldslow Post Office) – there’s a footpath that cuts through to Sedlescombe Road North (see marker on this map) and comes out just south of the end of Whitworth Road.
